  Going GREEN , why not?!
It's time we lessened our global stamp. Jorge's is taking the leap
to go green. Little by little we plan on creating a more environmentally conscience staff. We have started with purchasing recycled papers for our napkins, hand towels, paper towels and carry-out containers. We are currently training kitchen staff to separate all kitchen waste packaging. With baby steps to a Green restaurant, we plan on recycling 80% of our waste. Recycling and changes includes plastics,
papers, bottles, compost, and biodegradable cleaning products.

We currently purchase many organic products which create our tasty homemade dishes. These products include Organic unbleached whole wheat flour for our tortillas, stone ground all natural corn for our corn tortillas and tamales, and hatch green chiles which you can find in many of our dishes.

Our latest contribution is on full display in our updated bathrooms. They contain water saving toilets and hand sinks. We have reduced our water consumption by 22% since the remodel. Our bars have new water heaters which instantly heat the out coming hot water, to save on water waste from waiting for the cold water to heat.

Stay tuned to Jorges.com for new updates on our quest for Green.
